Grand Hotel Praha
Prague, Czech Republic, October 17-19, 2022
Our second fall conference also takes us to central Europe, to the charming city of Prague. I was initially introduced to Prague by a dear friend who mentioned that it was one of the prettiest cities in all of Europe....and he was spot on!
Prague is the capitol of the Czech Republic, and one of the top 15 largest cities in the EU. Its roots go back well before the 14th century, but it was during the reign of Charles IV that Prague began to take on international importance. The historic center of Prague, with its origins in this period, remains today a stunning reminder of Bohemian architecture and culture. It is known as the city of 100 spires, though I would bet there are many more than that number!
Local fare consists of meat, beer and great wines. The historic center is a vibrant area with cafes and restaurants offering the best of Czech food and drink. The astronomical clock in the historic center is one of the most photographed spots in Prague, and it lies directly across from our host hotel. Looking down on the city center, across the Vlatava river, and across the Charles Bridge, lies Prague Castle, with its magnificent architecture prominent in the skyline.
Our host hotel in Prague is in the center of the historic district, overlooking the astronomical clock, on the oldest square in town. The historic Grand Hotel Praha was built in the 14th century, and preserves the atmosphere of old Prague. Directly in front of the hotel, an outdoor restaurant gives you the opportunity to kick back and relax, enjoy a beverage, and people watch. Then, after a break, you can head back out to explore the town's many neighborhoods. The location is simply the best location in all of Prague. Check out the hotel website for pictures and descriptions of the rooms: https://www.grandhotelpraha.cz/en/
When making reservations, email the hotel directly and be sure to reference that you are with the CE in Italy/Europe Medical Conference with Dr. Fanelli in order to obtain the best rates. Your contact person there is Jana and her email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org Please note that the room block and discounted pricing for rooms is on a first come, first served basis!
There is a good chance this meeting will fill, so I would suggest to make your hotel reservations and registration for the meeting as soon as possible. The proximity of Prague to Vienna and Budapest make it a great launching point to visit central Europe.
Our program in Prague begins with a cocktail welcome reception on October 17, 2022, at 6 PM at the hotel. Continuing education begins the following two mornings promptly at 6:30AM and finishes around noon each day. 12 hours of COPE approved CE are available for you to obtain at this meeting.
