Aria Hotel Budapest
Budapest, Hungary, October 16-18, 2020
Our fall series of conferences takes us to central Europe, where the weather is beginning to cool and the crowds of tourists are thinning out. Our first stop is the historic town of Budapest, Hungary. Budapest is unique in that it is two distinct cities on one: Buda and Pest, with the beautiful Danube river separating the two sectors. While Buda is a bit more residential, Pest is the historic center of the town, and with that comes the historic architecture, pedestrian friendly streets, and authentic Hungarian food specialties.
Budapest is the capitol of Hungary, and the 10th largest city in Europe. Modern, sophisticated, metropolitan, yet historic and steeped in Hungarian culture. It has been voted one of the most beautiful cities in Europe by several agencies. Given the weather this time of year, the thinner crowds, and the food and architecture, fall is one of the best times to visit the area.
As far as local fare is concerned, it should come as no surprise that beer and goulash are on every menu. As in many countries in this area, the foods are generally meat and potato based, and are absolutely delish in all respects! Come, walk the streets in this pedestrian friendly section of town, enjoy the sights and sounds of the area, as well as a nice meal on a nice fall afternoon.
Our host hotel in Budapest is in the center of the Pest part of town and is unique in its layout for several reasons. Centrally, the hotel has a courtyard partially open to the outside, so that you don’t really have to go too far to get some fresh air. And fortunately for us, there is a rooftop bar and lounge area with a commanding view of the city skyline. Its is a great place to relax, yet very much in the heart of the historic part of the city.
Our host hotel is the Aria Hotel Budapest. The hotel has a musical theme, and the rooms are nicely appointed, the spa is spectacular, and as mentioned, the rooftop bar cannot be missed. As a guest of the hotel, you get to enjoy the spa and indoor thermal pool. A variety of saunas, treatments, massages, and other indulgences await you and your travel mates. In fact, while you are in class, your significant other can be enjoying some spa treatments (that’s a tip for you to drop the hint to your significant other 😊 ). Please check out the website for the hotel to get a feel for the uniqueness of the hotel and its amenities: https://ariahotelbudapest.com/ When making reservations, email the hotel and be sure to reference that you are with the CE in Italy/Europe group with Dr. Fanelli in order to obtain the best rates. Your contact person there is Dora Farkas and her email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org or you can use the general email address at: email@example.com Please note that the room block and discounted pricing for rooms will only be held until February 29, 2020! After that date, rooms will be on an availability only basis.
There is a good chance this meeting will fill, so I would suggest to make your hotel reservations and registration for the meeting as soon as possible. The proximity of Budapest to Vienna is only 2.5 hours by train, and I suspect many travelers for our conferences will attend both meeting.
Our program in Budapest begins with a cocktail welcome reception on October 16, 2020, at 6 PM at the hotel. Continuing education begins the following two mornings promptly at 6:30AM and finishes around noon each day. 12 hours of COPE approved CE are available for you to obtain at this meeting. Should you combine your trip to Budapest with the meeting in Vienna, 24 hours of COPE approved CE is offered (all different courses), and there is a reduction in your registration fee for two meetings. And in many states, you can obtain most if not all of your yearly CME hours for the year by attending both meetings.
